Activities

Aktia has grown rapidly in recent years. From being a local bank with a geographically widespread branch network in the growing regions of the country at the beginning of the century, we have become one of the largest Finnish-owned finance groups i Finland. Significant life insurance operations are integrated into the Group and from the beginning of 2009 also prominent non-life insurance operations. We have developed our asset management activities, private banking, corporate financing, credit card and real estate agency operations.  Our role as a central financial institution for the independent local savings and co-operative banks is a very important business area for us.
